For breakfast I had a cinnamon bun and some fruit loops, but I didn’t like the fruit loops. When we got to the train station we sent Dad to check how everything worked, but we were doing everything correctly. It took us a while to get on the train. There was Internet on the train, but I felt sick for most of the trip.

 

When we got off the train we went to the hotel but the hotel lift had about 19 floors. After we settled in we went for a walk to the Empire State Building and went up it listening to an audio guide. We went to the 86th floor and took photos of New York. For dinner we had middle eastern food which was nice; I had short beef ribs and a lemonade and some chicken and salmon skewers.

In the morning we went down to breakfast for the first time in America. I just had a bagel but  all the plates and bowls are paper and all the cutlery is plastic, can they not pay someone to wash up….

Then we went to the Science Museum, which was just down the road, and we bought tickets to the see the Pixar Exhibition. In the exhibition we saw how they created, lighted, animated and rendered the films. In every movie they have had a problem to solve, for example in Toy Story it was just the creation of animation from scratch, and in Monsters Inc it was doing Sully’s fur and in Cars it was doing the shine on the cars.

After that we went to see other things in the Museum such as the electric show, where we saw giant Van de Graaf generators sparking in time to music, a single sided 3D shape, called a Moebius Strip. There were also some dinosaurs and I could tell the difference between a T-rex skull and a Giganotosaurus skull just by looking at it.

We had lunch at the Museum and then walked to the Aquarium, via a produce market, where we waited to go on our Duck ride.

The Duck ride was amusing, with our driver knowing lots of stuff and being very funny about it, but I did say are we going to die several times.

After the Duck we got a taxi back to the hotel. We then caught another one back in to North End and had Italian for dinner, where I had lamb cutlets.

Today was a very long Friday. In the morning we prepared to go to America and soon after left to go to the airport. We got to the airport and did general airport stuff which involves lots of waiting around. Then we went to a bar and had drinks for about half an hour and then went to the gate.

When we got on the plane I immediately started watching TV. I watched a bit of Inside Out, then Insurgent which is a bit like the Hunger Games. Next I watched Age of Ultron and finally Furious Seven.

When we landed we were all tired so we went to the hotel and then went to the Aquarium where we saw Myrtle the Turtle. Noah’s Mum used to work there in the big central tank. There we saw lots of different types of penguins. After that we went to a bar and grill for dinner and I had pork chops.

We were really tired because of the time difference (it was after 1am in Jersey) so we watched an episode of Dr Who and then fell asleep.

Today is my last day in Jersey for a while. In the morning I played more Town of Salem. Next we went to town where we walked around town and to the harbour. After that went to the Grill were I had the mixed grill which was tasty.

We went back to the Merton and prepared to go to England and then America. Dad drove to the airport and went to park the car for a very long time. Then we flew to England and someone drove us to a Premier Inn near Heathrow. For dinner Dad and I both had a spicy pizza.

In the morning I played Town of Salem where I got the to be the serial killer. After lunch I watched some Sky Saga. Sky Saga is a Minecraft like game where you travel to different islands and do quests. Next I went to Harry’s where I went on the swings then watched Armageddon on TV. When Mum and Dad picked me up we went to Ormer for our last dinner in Jersey. At Ormer I had pork belly which was delicious.
