On the drive I watched a lot of TV.
On the drive, in the desert we saw snow on a mountain which we drove past. After lunch we drove to Vernal where we sat around for a little bit. When we got to the museum we saw a diplodocus. Next we saw an allosaurus and a stegosaurus. We saw a entire wall of fossils. Plus we saw some of the creatures after the dinosaur era. Finally we went to a pizza place.
In the morning I played Craft the World which is a game were you get dwarves and kill monsters. Next we went to the airport but it took a while to check in and get seats together. On the plane I just watched a lot of TV. When we got to the hotel we just sat around. We had dinner at the hotel and it was pretty good.
First I got up at 6 and played with Harry, again. We played Town of Salem and they were great games. It was the last day in the Bahamas and we had a swim in the morning until it started raining.
When we got to the airport we went through security which was quite simple. After a while we went to the plane. Unfortunately I felt terribly ill. For dinner we went to the place we were in last time we were in Miami.
In the morning I played Town of Salem with Harry past breakfast. After lunch Harry had to go but then I played with Jacob for a short time. In the afternoon we went for a swim in the quiet pool. For dinner we went to Agave and I had steak which was fabulous.
After breakfast we went to the snorkelling boat but it was closed because of bad weather on our side of the island, so we got to go to Paradise Cove. When we were there we got the equipment and went to the water but my mask didn’t fit so I got water up my nose and in my eye. But we saw some sunfish and a lot more fish.
Next we had lunch which was very cheap. Afterwards we went to the water and saw a puffer fish. This time my mask fitted. Soon we reached the reef. There there we saw a bunch of parrot fish and other species. On the way back it got very choppy but we got to see some turtles. In the bus we dropped most people at their boat then came home and ate at Agave which was delicious.
After playing some games we went to the hotel buffet for lunch. Next we went to the dock and took a boat to the dolphin sanctuary. When we got there we got some flippers. Dad and I were the first people in the water. We swam with the dolphins and patted them. The dolphins felt like soft wet rubber. When I put my head under the water I could hear their clicking sounds.
After we finished the other people swam with them and patted them. Finally we did some tricks with them. At first I was nervous about hopping in the water with the dolphins but in the end it was a lot of fun. After the dolphins we went to see the birds and held a parrot. When we got to the hotel we had dinner at the hotel.
In the morning I played video games, online, with Jacob and Harry, as soon as I got up, but at 9:30am we went down to breakfast, but we were a little late and there was not much I wanted to eat. We came back and I played more video games.
After lunch we all went down to the pool for a swim. It was a little overcast but still nice in the water once you got used to it. For dinner we went to a pizza and seafood place and I had a delicious pizza, then we went back to our suite and I had a better night’s sleep.
We got up at 5 o’clock then immediately got to the bus. When we got to the airport we had a bit of trouble with the bag tags. We had to go a long way to go through security but in the end it was quicker. We got some food and took the shuttle. When we got to the Bahamas we went for a swim but the pool was cold as the heated pool was not open for the afternoon, and it is just outside our room. Next we went to the beach which took a while. The beach was nice but hard to walk on.
We had dinner at the hotel and when we got back to the room, we found out why the heated pool was closed. There was a party going on and I was sleeping right next to it in an uncomfortable bed, but I managed to get to sleep eventually, with the aid of listening to Matilda.
For breakfast I had pizza from last night. When we got to the car we drove to the Florida Keys. Yet it started to rain so we didn’t get to see much. For lunch we went a BBQ but it was closed, instead we had Greek. When we got to our first stop we bought some pants and socks. When we got to the hotel I sat around and Mum and Dad gave back the car. Finally we went to dinner next door.
While we were driving to the alligator farm, Mum almost drove over a snake, and we later found out that it was a very large Rat Snake.
When we first got there we saw some chickens, I thought they would be lunch for the alligators, but when we asked the lady at the counter she said they were not for lunch but she did not know what they were used for, something about keeping pests down.
When we got in we saw some parrots, then we walked to see some monitor lizards. Then we went to the snake enclosure where we saw different types of snakes and the largest was an Anaconda. After a short look around we went to the snake show. He talked about the different types of snakes in Florida and then he got one of people from the audience who was afraid of snakes to come out, where he asked them to hold the snake, and they were not sure about that. He then asked them to turn around and he put a larger python on their shoulders, not one of the smaller ones that he had been showing us. At the end of the show we could hold the pythons, but Mum and I did not want to.
Next we went on an air boat, which is a giant fan propelled by a car engine on the back of a boat. To start off with we went slowly, but when we got to the marsh area we went faster and did 360s.
We then went to the alligator show and again the guy did stupid things with gators. Then we looked in at the nursery and wandered around the rest of the place.
After lunch we drove to the Everglades, where we saw some vultures, then we walked on some board walks over the marshes and saw some fish and on the way back to the car we saw an alligator on the side of the path. When we got back to the carpark, the …. vultures had eaten our windscreen wiper blades, and Mum and Dad were not amused, especially as it started raining. But we continued on and went to another walking area, and then went to Wall Mart to get new wiper blades….
For dinner we went to a nice pizza place down the road, where we got our leftover pizza ‘boxed’
