For breakfast I had pizza from last night. When we got to the car we drove to the Florida Keys. Yet it started to rain so we didn’t get to see much. For lunch we went a BBQ but it was closed, instead we had Greek. When we got to our first stop we bought some pants and socks. When we got to the hotel I sat around and Mum and Dad gave back the car. Finally we went to dinner next door.

While we were driving to the alligator farm, Mum almost drove over a snake, and we later found out that it was a very large Rat Snake.

When we first got there we saw some chickens, I thought they would be lunch for the alligators, but when we asked the lady at the counter she said they were not for lunch but she did not know what they were used for, something about keeping pests down.

When we got in we saw some parrots, then we walked to see some monitor lizards. Then we went to the snake enclosure where we saw different types of snakes and the largest was an Anaconda. After a short look around we went to the snake show. He talked about the different types of snakes in Florida and then he got one of people from the audience who was afraid of snakes to come out, where he asked them to hold the snake, and they were not sure about that. He then asked them to turn around and he put a larger python on their shoulders, not one of the smaller ones that he had been showing us. At the end of the show we could hold the pythons, but Mum and I did not want to.

Next we went on an air boat, which is a giant fan propelled by a car engine on the back of a boat. To start off with we went slowly, but when we got to the marsh area we went faster and did 360s.

We then went to  the alligator show and again the guy did stupid things with gators. Then we looked in at the nursery and wandered around the rest of the place.

After lunch we drove to the Everglades, where we saw some vultures, then we walked on some board walks over the marshes and saw some fish and on the way back to the car we saw an alligator on the side of the path. When we got back to the carpark, the …. vultures had eaten our windscreen wiper blades, and Mum and Dad were not amused, especially as it started raining. But we continued on and went to another walking area, and then went to Wall Mart to get new wiper blades….

 

 

For dinner we went to a nice pizza place down the road, where we got our leftover pizza ‘boxed’

In the car I watched TV and listened to some podcasts. For lunch we went to a Japanese place and I had more curry. After that we went to get ice cream and I had nutella and I loved it. When we got to Homestead we went to the hotel and settled in. For dinner we went to a Mexican place where we we the only non-Spanish speakers.

When we got to the Kennedy Space Center we went to the Atlantis space shuttle experience. The Atlantis was the strongest rocket ever built. There we went on the simulation and it was so fun. Next we went to the rocket garden and learnt about satellites and stuff.

Then we went to lunch with Al Worden who went to the moon. Yet he stayed in orbit and did a lot of experiments. One of the last things we did was to get on a bus and see all the buildings that they used to make the rockets. The HQ, the rocket assembly building and the launch platform. The launch platform has giant pylons bigger than the rocket assembly building. The rocket assembly building is really tall and can hold 3 and a half Empire State Buildings. They are making a new and better HQ.

Finally we went to the Mars exhibition and saw the mars rovers. After that we came back to the hotel. For dinner we had dinner at the hotel and I had chicken parmesan.

After breakfast we drove to Titusville. On the way we listened to some podcasts and I watched some TV when I felt unwell. When we got to Titusville we got settled in and then went to the astronaut hall of fame. There we learnt that the first American in space was only there for a couple minutes. Next they tried to go to the moon but the first ship exploded. It took a while for them but they managed in the end. After that we came home and had dinner in.

After  breakfast we drove to Savannah which took a while but we listened to a podcast. At Savannah we went to the State Park nearby which was fun. We saw some crabs. A lot of mushrooms of all shapes. Back at the hotel we settled in and went to dinner. For dinner we went to a Japanese and Thai place. I had green curry and rainbow rolls and they were tasty.

 

After breakfast we caught a taxi to the walk start. When we got there there was no one there but soon the guide arrived. At the start of the walk we went to to the Double Tree hotel. Next we walked to the church and where they buried a war hero. After that we went the gunpowder store. Then we went to the cobbled street because there are only a few left.

Soon we came across some metal poles in a house that were used to pull them back together after an earthquake. At the beach area, after walking through an alley way, we saw some spanish moss and some people in the group left. Quickly it started to rain but we had rain jackets. Near the end we left to go to lunch which was delicious.

Immediately after lunch we went to the market and I bought a dragon made out of metal. At the apartment I felt a bit sick so when we went to the restaurant I did not eat much, I think i didn’t feel good after 3 lemonades.

We went to the airport at about 11:00 where we got some food and went to a plane. When we got to the other side we got a car but it had to be brought over. When we got to the house we were staying at Mum and Dad got food and I talked to Harry. He got Town of Salem and then we played together. For dinner Mum cooked some steak which was the first home cooked meal for a week.

In  the morning we went to the Air and Space museum after we went to to the botanical garden. We saw some carnivorous plants and very old ones. At the Air and  Space we went to the IMAX theatre and saw stuff about the Mars missions and how they are preparing for them.

After that we went to the Natural History Museum but the dinosaur area was out of bounds. luckily there were fossils and we had butterflies land on us at the butterfly area. Finally we went to the insect museum but there’s not much to say. Next we walked to the White House just to see it. For dinner we shared a 40 oz steak which was delicious.

 

 

We got on the train at about 10:30. After watching some TV I did Java with Dad. At Washington we settled in and then went to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. We saw the moon pod. We saw a lot of stuff about the International Space Station. We weren’t there for too long. We went back to the hotel and had some wine and I had water. We had burritos for dinner and they were quite nice.
