The first thing we did was go to a market where we bought a tea towel, a hair clip and some gluten free macaroons. After that we walked around until we had lunch at a sushi place. Next we walked to a gallery where we saw lots of paintings of Venice, Rome and England by Canaletto. Finally I had a crepe and looked at a fountain.
We left Italy fairly early as we had a long drive to get to France. When we got to Katie’s, one of Mum’s friends who now lives in France, we had charcutery and cheese and bread for lunch. Then I played on the wii with Matilda. When we arrived at Aix-en-Provence we went to dinner at a wine cellar were we all had steak which was really good.
For breakfast we had crepes, not very Italian, but very nice, but then Dad had a meeting. While Dad was having his meeting, Mum and I went for a swim and the water was still cold.
We got out in time to cook risotto for lunch, which was very tasty and the mushrooms were very nice. Following lunch we began our packing of all our stuff, and in the extra time Dad and I played Star Realms, again.
For dinner we headed back down to Arona, where Dad had found a wine bar, with very good wine, and we ended up staying there for dinner. For dessert I had a chocolate fondue. We thought it was going to be a chocolate moelleux, but it was melted chocolate with fruit that you could dip into it; my favourite was the strawberries and the banana is just wrong.
Today we went off to another market, in Omegna on Lake Orta. At the market we bought olives and a bow and mum got a new leather wallet and handbag, while dad got a new wallet. On the way to the car we saw some metal roses, they were on the lake. Then we walked around the town to find lunch but we ended up having lunch near the market. Lunch was at a pizzeria, and mum was able to get gluten free pasta or pizzas, she chose pasta.
On our way home we went to the Alessi shop, where mum got some coffee pot shaped cookie cutters.
Then we had a swim when we got back to the apartment and the water was very cold. We ate in and had cheese and charcuterie for dinner.
We went to lunch at a pizzeria after we had a swim. I had had ham cheese and mushrooms on my pizza. Next we went for a swim. After dinner we played star realms which is a deck building game but we had to stop because it started raining.
In the morning we went for a swim but Mum found a toad in the pool. Then I practised diving and got it right. After lunch Dad had a meeting and I went for another swim. For dinner we went to Arona. Then we went home to bed but There was a thunder storm and the electricity was turned of then back on so we finally got to bed.
To start the day we sat by the pool all morning. Next we went to Stresa where we walked around and Mum bought a scarf. When we we left we bought some limoncelo. We were going to go on a chairlift but it was shut. At the apartment we had a swim and had charcuterie and cheese for dinner. I ate lots of brie.
After a week of traveling, it was nice to be able to sit around the pool, which was very cold, for most of the day then went inside and sat around and I played Terraria. Finally we went to Arona for dinner where I had lobster pasta.
Today we are leaving France and sleeping in Italy. Lunch was our first stop were I had a sandwich and a lemon tart. Then we continued towards Italy, via the Mont Blanc tunnel, a 10.6km tunnel that we had to queue to get through.
When we arrived at our apartment overlooking Lake Maggiore, we all went for a swim and a lie in the sun. Finally, we stayed in for dinner and we had chicken with fresh pasta and pesto for dinner.
In the morning we went to Grenoble where we had to go to two car parks to park. Then we walked around to a park were we saw a statue. Everywhere you look in Grenoble you see mountains. Next we had lunch but they brought our mains out before the starters. When we got back to the hotel we went for a long walk along the river and then back for another swim.
