day 68 and 69 hubble

Hubble is a giant orbital space telescope. Hubble has taken 1.2 million photos with 12,800 papers written from it. It moves at 17,000 mph and has gone 3 million miles. It takes photos of other galaxies and stars. It has an altitude of 340 miles. It can point like a laser 200 miles away to a coin.

day 66 and 67 – Gravitons

On Monday and Tuesday I learned about gravitons. Gravitons are a theoretical particle that most likely exist because they derive from quantum field theory which says there are particles for all the forces and gravity is one of the forces. However general relativity says it doesn’t work that way because mass bends space instead.

I don’t know what is right though because I am not a theoretical physicist.

day 66 and 67 cooking and playing with Harry

Today I started to learn about cooking. On Monday I made posh sausage roll for dinner. Posh sausage roll is sausage roll with sweet chilli sauce and onion chutney in it. On Tuesday I made ANZAC biscuits. ANZAC biscuits are in memory of the Australian and New Zealand soldiers who fought in World War one and two.

On Tuesday afternoon I went to Harry’s place and took some of the ANZAC biscuits. We played Terraria on my server and after a bit we played Robocraft. We also watched a bit of Die Hard.

day 65 Terraria and Harry Potter

In the morning I played video games and played some Terraria with Jacob online. For lunch we had roast chicken, bacon, vegetables and bacon. After lunch we watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which I finished reading last week.  After that I played more Terraria with Jacob and Harry. Plus we did PvP which I won and then Jacob and I fought some bosses. Finally we had charcuterie for dinner.

day 64 party time

Today was my party. In the morning I went to jiu jitsu and saw Harry and Noah and Harry came back to our place for lunch. We left for the cinema after lunch were we met with Harry, Max, Jacob and Noah. Then we went in and got pop corn to see the Maze Runner 2. The “zombies” are a bit creepy. It is very good and I recommend it. After that we went to TGI Fridays and talked until every one went home. In the end it was nice catching up with every one.

day 63 home

For lunch we went to Buffalo grill but it took a while. I wanted to go because it will be the last time we’re in France for a while. Next we drove to St Malo but eventually I started to listen to to the podcast and I made a mind map of the information. On the boat not much really happened but at least it was still. On the way home we dropped mum at M & S then came home and unpacked. For dinner we had pasta carbonara.

day 62 drive to Poitiers

Not a lot happened today. We walked into Sarlat to find breakfast, it took a while but finally we found somewhere I could get crepes.  Following that we packed our stuff and headed off to Poitiers.

We headed out to have a wander around the town, looked at another church and sat in the square. Next we went to have gelati and a drink at a restaurant. Finally we had dinner at a french restaurant for our last dinner in France.

day 61 Prehistoric cave paintings

First we went to Rouffignac Caves where we went on a train a kilometer into the cave and saw some etchings of mammoths. Plus we saw imprints made with finger tips and cave bear scratches. The cave bears stayed in the cave before people were there. When the train stopped we saw a roof completely covered in paintings. There were deer, mammoths, horses, woolly rhinos, but no people.

Soon we went to lunch at Lascaux cave. Next we went to Lascaux II where we saw a lot of horses. They had multi coloured pictures. They used around 25 different colours. There were also pictures of bulls. Lascaux II is a replica of the original Lascaux caves which was made because the original paintings were degrading.

day 60 driving and caving

We drove from Carcassonne to Sarlat-le-Caneda and in the afternoon we went to visit a cave. When we reached the cave we bought tickets. Soon we entered the cave and saw some stalactites and stalagmites. They had eccentrics coming off the. Eccentrics are  stalactites growing off other stalactites. They grow sideways as the water is flowing very slowly. At the end we had had seen a entire section covered in eccentrics. For dinner we went to a duck place and I had foie gras.

First we drove to Carcassonne for lunch, which was very nice. Next we went to the place we had dinner and booked a spot. Then we walked around Carcassonne and bought a double sided axe for my birthday. We also went into a church and heard some men singing and it sounded incredible with only four of them singing.

After that we drove to the hotel at about 5. Finally we had french tapas for my birthday dinner which was delicious. I really liked the pork with mushrooms and the sliced duck. On the way to dinner we found a shop with fossils and I got a part of a mosasaur jaw as another present.
