I started the day by sitting in front of my computer waiting for some one to get on Steam, but no one did. A bit before lunch we went to the pool and went for a swim. I went to have a shower after but had to come back quickly to have lunch. We sat in the room for a while until we went to the luau. At the luau we had drinks entertainment and Hawaiian food. The entertainment was from all the different island in Polynesia.
We started with another early morning, as we had to meet our tour guide at 8am, then we had a 2 hour drive across the Island, to Hilo to collect the other people who were on our tour. We got there early so our guide suggested that we go to a little zoo that was close by. At the zoo we saw monkeys, and but not a tiger, that enclosure was being renovated.
We drove back to the supermarket and picked up some more Australians. We got to the canyon but it started to pour with rain. Then we drove to the lava tube and walked through them. Next we went to the forest and walked through to the lava flats and found some lava strands which were cool. After that we ran back from getting soaked. Then we drove to the sea and stood around getting dry. On the drive back I fell asleep so when we got to the hotel we had dinner and went to sleep.
Today we had nothing planned, we had the buffet breakfast and it was good. Then we went back to the room to get changed so we could go for a swim. We had lunch by the pool then went back to the room. A little after that Dad and I went down to the beach to make sand castles.
For dinner we went to a nearby restaurant and I had steak, only after I was told that they had run out of there special which was surf and turf.
We left very early at catching the 5:30 bus from the hotel and having some breakfast at the airport. After waiting around for a bit we got on the plane and bought a movie each, I got Jurassic World, Dad got Kingsmen and Mum got TV. After I watched my movie I watch Madagascar 3, which I had on my laptop.
Once we were in Honolulu, we had to get our luggage and find out where we were to catch our next flight from. We checked onto our plane, but it took a while, but we ended up in Kona at our hotel safe and sound. Once at the hotel we unpacked and headed for the pool. Then we had sushi for dinner.
We packed in the morning, then went to the cafe again. We drove for a bit then stopped near the sea and had a nice lunch. I had tagliata, which is sliced steak. After a little time we got to Los Angeles. For dinner we went a persian place, I had pizza.
After breakfast we started the drive to the zoo which was terrifying because we had to go down a 30 degrees hill. When we got there we had to wait about 10 minutes. Next we went to the reptile enclosure where we saw a lot of turtles and iguanas. We went to the monkey place. There we saw some benobo monkeys and a lot of birds.
We saw tigers but they were hiding a bit. On a path down we saw some okapi. When we reached the bottom we saw some hippos, there was a baby and a mum. We walked past the tar pit replica and the lions. We walked past the baby jaguar eating a bowl. After seeing the elaphants we took a bus to get a different bus. On the tour we learnt about the animals. Finally we went to dinner.
After a coffee and a snack we went to the USS Midway and bought tickets. Next we went to the planes but some of them had foldable wings. Then we went down stairs to the diner. We went to the laundry and the engine room. Next we went to the chief’s diner and the chief’s room. Finally we went to the roof and saw a lot of planes. For lunch we went to an Italian place where I had pasta. After going to a shop we got to the townhouse we were staying at and sat around. For dinner we ate in.
We started the drive to the cactus garden. Cacti are nasty. After that we drove on and I fell asleep but only until we got to the next stop were looked over the valley with the San Andreas Fault. Next we went to lunch at a mexican restaurant and I had fajita. Finally we got to San Diego after dark.
We started the drive and drove for a long time. When we reached lunch I had a chicken souvlaki. Next we went for a drive through Mojave National Park for a while until we got to the hotel. We sat around for a bit, then went to dinner at a thai place which was delicious.
After pancakes we drove to Badwater, the lowest place in the US. There was salt which had solidified into crystals. We walked then we went home to repressurize the tyres. After pizza we went to Devils Golf Course which had masses of salt spikes. After that we went for a short walk in Golden Canyon. Finally we went to on a horse ride which was scary to start but was fun at the end.
