We had a very long drive from Las Vegas and we listened to Wyrd Sisters. After a long time we got to Death Valley but the road was gone so we got to the peak another way which was cool. After that we went to the hotel, which is under sea level. For dinner we ate at the hotel.
We started with a walk to breakfast but it took a while; I had pancakes. Then we went home and sat around for a while. After a bit Mum and Dad went and collected the tickets for Cirque du Soleil. After a long time we went to dinner which was nice. Next we went to the circus. When we got there we got our seats, at the front. All the acts were great but the clowns were funny. At the end we went back to the hotel and fell asleep.
After breakfast we packed and went to Hoover Dam from the Grand Canyon. At Hoover Dam we got the tickets and then had lunch. Then we went to the tour and first went to the pipes that are 50 feet across. Next we went to the generator room were they have 8 on the Arizona side. There are 7 on the Nevada side but it makes more power.
This is when the extended tour started. Next we saw a ventilation tunnel and we went to the end and looked out of the dam. When we walked back we had to go over a grate which stretched about 150 feet down. Finally we went to the car and drove to the hotel.
First we walked along the rim again. Soon we got to the time trail which shows the geographic history of the Grand Canyon for the past 2,000 million years. We walked along and looked at the rocks. Eventually we got to lunch and I had bratwurst. Next we walked through the forest and saw some deer and a cyote. For dinner we went to El Tovar which was nice.

After a bit of a drive we got to a crater. We went up the crater but I was grumpy. We looked around the crater. Next we went to Lowell Observatory where they discovered the expansion of the universe. Plus we learnt about spectography and the elements signatures. Then we went to the grand canyon and stopped at a spot to look at a small canyon. When we got to the grand canyon I stayed in the car for the small stops but when we got to the rim I looked over the edge.
In the rugby New Zealand won but Australia was close at one point. Then we drove to the petrified forest. When we got there we went to the long track were I got really thirsty. Soon we got to the loop and saw a lot of trees, whole trees, in the loop. After the loop we went to the house made out of petrified wood. Finally we went to the lookout which wasn’t that impressive. For dinner we had great sushi.
We drove to a place where four states met and took a photo. Soon we reached the park were we got a tour. Our first stop we saw Navajo houses called hogans and the guide explained how they are built. Next we saw the elephant butte. After a while we got to the eagle arch were the Navajo guide played the flute. Next we went to the petroglyphs which were good. At the end we went to the car and finished listening to The Martian.
Games in the morning; I played with Harry and tried to get to Jacob. Next we went to the pueblos again where we went to the museum. We saw how the people advanced. Then we saw the advance of technology. Last we saw the evolution of houses and the animals.
Soon we went to the houses on the other side of the valley. We went to the other side and talked to the rangers.
Soon after we started the drive from Moab to Cortez we got to Newspaper Rock. It is a rock covered in petroglyphs. When we got to the pueblos we stopped and waked to the town in the cliff. Next we went to a hole where a house used to be. It is called a pit house. For a while we did the same until we got to a big valley where we saw a lot of towns. Finally we went to a big house which we have no idea what it was used for.
We started by going to breakfast which was not good. Next we got coffee and a hot chocolate. Soon we got to Arches National Park. There we drove for a while and listened to The Martian. The first big stop was Balanced Rock. We walked around it and were surprised it was still up there. Plus we saw a lot of arches which were enormous.
When we reached Canyonland National Park we saw a crater with a canyon in it. Finally we came back to the hotel.
